James M. Peaslee is a partner based in the New York office. Mr. Peaslee's practice focuses on tax matters. He is the co-author of Federal Income Taxation of Securitization Transactions (4th Edition, www.securitizationtax.com), as well as a number of articles on tax subjects.

Mr. Peaslee joined the firm in 1976 and became a partner in 1984.

Mr. Peaslee is a member of the Bar in New York and has been a member of the Executive Committee of the New York State Bar Association's Tax Section since 1983. He was Chair of the Tax Section in 1991.

Mr. Peaslee received an LL.M. degree in taxation from New York University School of Law in 1979 and a J.D. degree, cum laude, from Harvard Law School in 1976. He received an M.A. degree in economics, magna cum laude, and an undergraduate degree from Yale University in 1973.
