Colin Manning – 4-5 Gray's Inn Square  An accredited CEDR mediator since 1997, Colin Manning co-heads the mediation group at 4-5 Gray's Inn Square. He mediates a broad range of commercial disputes, including contract, tort, professional negligence, partnership, company, and shareholder matters. Manning, who is also a Fellow of the Civil Mediation Council, is additionally appointed to assist with construction, property, international trade, and trust and probate disputes. Manning’s recent experience includes mediating a claim for damages, further to the non-repayment of a loan to a trust, and a dispute over the alleged unlawful termination of two construction contracts.

Colin has been a barrister for over 40 years and has wide experience in litigating commercial and business law disputes involving contract, international trade, share purchase/sale, partnership, professional and clinical negligence, entertainment and media (in particular film, music and video rights), building and construction, computer (technical and copyright), landlord and tenant and employment. His practice has led him to travel to Paris, Geneva, Chicago Gibraltar and Sierra Leone.

He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and served as a Recorder for 16 years.In addition, he has chaired Primary Care Trust Tribunal inquiries into the fitness of doctors and dentists to remain on NHS Performers’ Lists. He has also taken evidence on commission for use in foreign proceedings.
