Lacourte Raquin Tatar was established in 1993. With more than 85 qualified lawyers and legal practitioners, of whom 24 are partners, the firm is organized around three major areas of expertise: mergers and acquisitions, real estate and taxation.. These practices are enhanced by the lawyers’ recognised expertise in public, planning and environment law, financing and regulatory, asset management and litigation. Mergers and acquisitions: The firm’s strong experience in both French and cross-border corporate/M&A allows the M&A team to advise its clients in all their strategic operations, joint ventures and external growth. The M&A practice focuses on transactional matters such as legal and tax structuring of transactions; acquisitions and disposals of groups of companies and assets; joint ventures and agreements between shareholders; company reorganisations; private equity, venture capital, companies’ turnarounds; corporate aspects of real estate collective investment funds (OPCI & SCPI); corporate law and specific governance issues; and disputes between share­holders and post-acquisition; securities law and capital market transactions.

Real estate transactions: The firm possesses expertise in all aspects of real estate for both traditional and complex transactions and operations relating to offices, shops, logistics, hotels, residential buildings, health establishments, institu­tions, investment funds, real estate companies and developers, both in an advisory role and for litigation purposes. The practice focuses on investment and dis­investment; partnership between investors, developers and users; property rights, land management, securi­ties and leases; development and construction; town planning; and regulated and unregulated real estate investment funds.

Public law: The firm advises and litigates in the various fields of public law, mainly in the areas of urban planning, public contracts and environment.
The firm's public law team acts on behalf of investors, developers, industrialists, professional federations, as well as public authorities and public service operators for the regulatory, operational and financial implementation of their projects.

The lawyers in the team have recognized experience, particularly in the real estate, urban development, environment, renewable energy, local public services and infrastructure sectors..

Financing:  The firm advises arrangers, lenders, debt funds, insurance companies and financial institutions on the setting-up of a wide variety of financial instruments and products. The firm assists lenders and investors to structure and implement their financing. The practice also focuses on structuring of financial vehicles and investment funds (AIF, ULITS, other AIF), asset man­agement and financial regulation

Asset management:  The firm assists credit institutions, investment firms, participative financing platforms, management companies and institutional investors in all issues related to asset management.
